Position Summary: This internship is designed for students or early-career individuals who enjoy research, problem‑solving, and building structured frameworks from scratch. You’ll work directly with leadership to support three high‑impact initiatives: expanding our vendor network, evaluating outsourcing partnerships, and developing a forward‑looking IT strategy. This role blends analytical work, communication, and hands‑on execution.

1. Vendor Expansion & Evaluation
Take ownership of building a scalable process for identifying and vetting new material and specialty vendors.
Support our efforts to build relationships with external partners who can assist during workload peaks.
Help shape the future of our internal technology environment.
Depending on evolving priorities of the business, assignments and projects may be changed as discussed and agreed between the manager and intern.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the intern is regularly required to talk and hear, including participating in frequent video calls. Work Environment: This is a fully remote, work-from-home internship. The intern is responsible for providing and maintaining a dedicated, professional, reasonably quiet and free from frequent interruptions during work hours, and ergonomically suitable workspace in their home. The role involves frequent video calls and virtual meetings throughout the day. The intern must ensure a professional appearance and a suitable background or virtual background for video meetings, along with a quiet environment that allows for clear, distraction-free audio during calls. Noise level in the home workspace should be minimal to moderate, with the ability to control background noise effectively.

1. Vendor Expansion & Evaluation
Take ownership of building a scalable process for identifying and vetting new material and specialty vendors.
- Develop a vendor evaluation framework, including criteria, scoring models, and questionnaires
- Research potential vendors across stone, metal, upholstery, glass, and other specialty categories
- Conduct outreach (email + cold calls) to gather information and assess capabilities
- Compile findings into clear summaries and recommendations for leadership review
- Maintain an organized vendor database for ongoing use
Support our efforts to build relationships with external partners who can assist during workload peaks.
- Research potential outsourcing partners for design, manufacturing, and installation
- Assist in developing a strategy to identify, evaluate, and prioritize partnership opportunities
- Support the creation of Master Services Agreement (MSA) templates and evaluation criteria
- Gather and compare partner capabilities, pricing structures, and capacity
- Prepare briefing materials for leadership decision-making
Help shape the future of our internal technology environment.
- Assist in developing a comprehensive IT strategy for hardware, software, and cloud migration
- Create a hardware lifecycle and migration plan (laptops, workstations, conference rooms)
- Research best practices for transitioning from an internal LAN to Office 365/Teams
- Document current-state systems and propose phased improvement recommendations
- Work with internal stakeholders to understand needs and pain points

- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, IT, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Comfortable with outreach, interviewing, and gathering information from external vendors
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint)
- Curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn new domains quickly

Job Details
- 💰 Salary: $20 an hour.
- Job Type: Variable Hour/Part Time. Shift, Mon- Fri, 8:00am - 12:00pm .(with additional hours as needed).
- Length of Internship: 10–16 weeks, depending on business needs and project workload.
